Hey friends! It's February! Happy belated Groundhog Day! Happy early Valentine's/Galentine's/Anna Howard Shaw Day!
Speaking of that holiday that's coming up in a couple of weeks, my Valentine's Day card collection, which has been in the making for quite a while now, is on Etsy! It started out last year around this time, with this design that I finally had made into a card:
Roses aren't the only thing that's red, after all...and a bouquet of radishes doesn't seem like a bad idea. Seems more practical, and a little more seasonal, than roses. (Although, for the record, I do quite like roses and if you were to give me a bouquet of roses I would not object.)
Then, for the people and penguins who warm our hearts on these very chilly days (which we still have a lot more of, thanks a lot, Punxsutawney Phil...), there's this one:
This design was inspired by a birthday card I created a while ago featuring the same penguin fellow, and he was just too cute I had to put him in another card. So far he's my best seller and most favorited from this collection so I must not be alone in appreciating his cuteness!
And finally, pigs! Did you know that "pigsney" is an old-fashioned term of endearment that literally means "pig's eye"? Even though I personally am not tempted to bring this term back into fashion in 2018, I appreciate its parallel to the adoring gazes of these little pigs.
Which one is your favorite? Let me know!
...or use THIS LINK to my shop for free shipping on two or more cards for the rest of February!
I hope your day is filled with sunshine and adorable pigs. Maybe some radishes too...?
p.s. I'll be selling some cards and matted prints at Artspace's Pottery Seconds & More Sale this March 2nd and 3rd at Greenfield Community College. I'd love to see you there if you're local!
